“A trustee shall keep adequate records of the administration of the trust.”

That is Ohio’s wording; other states’ laws and every trust’s own terms differ. Trustee Daybook does not tell you what yours require. It gives you one tidy place to keep the record, so that when you, a beneficiary, an accountant or a lawyer asks “what happened, and when?”, the answer is already written down. What people usually write down

Corrections

Never erased. Only voided.

A paper ledger is corrected with a single line through the mistake, not with an eraser. Trustee Daybook works the same way: a wrong entry is voided with the date and your reason, stays on the page struck through, and drops out of every total.

Each entry also keeps two dates: the day it happened and the moment you wrote it down. An entry written more than 30 days late says so, plainly, on its own line.

7 Decision, and why Kept the Elm Street house rented rather than selling it this year. Why: Rent covers the costs and the trust says the house may be kept until Luis turns 25. Asked the trust lawyer first. Written Feb 14, 2026, 3:20 PM ET
12 Money out · Tax payment County treasurer. First-half property tax, Elm Street. Written Mar 16, 2026, 2:05 PM ET Void Mar 22, 2026, 8:00 AM ET: Written twice by mistake: the same payment is entry 11, checked against the bank statement. 1,180.00

Questions

Plain answers

Is this legal advice, or a trust accounting service?

No. It is a notebook. It does not know your trust, your state or your duties, and it never tells you what to do. What it adds up is only what you typed. For what your trust and your state require, ask a lawyer licensed there.

Does it hold or move any money?

No. It has no bank connection and never touches an account. You type what happened; it keeps it in order.

Who can read my daybook?

Anyone holding its private link. The daybook is stored encrypted under a key made from that link and a secret on our server, and the database cannot be searched for a lost link. Like most websites, our web server’s logs record the address of every page opened, private links included, and WeldonPC can see those logs. Privacy

What if I lose the link?

There is no account, email or reset, so this site cannot recover it. Keep the link where you keep the trust papers, and download the CSV now and then; the CSV is free on every plan.

Is it connected with a particular trust or trustee?

No. The web address is only an address. Trustee Daybook is not made by, or for, any trust, trustee, bank or court.
